Souls Smile Too.

I started The 5-Point Compass with a mission to bridge the pursuit of soulfully- driven dreams with wellness; for women, writers, creatives, leaders… people just like you.

And I’m moved to to share why we chose the stack of books as our main image of our business’s landing page.

It’s because, well, it captures a tiny collection of things around my home that reflect the joy of my soul.

The red rock that crowns the books is heart-shaped, found on an 8-mile hike in Sedona, Arizona with my partneron New Year’s Day, 2024. * swoon *

The well-worn books (with hand-written notes in the margins) are lynchpins of my personal growth, career development and spiritual practice.

The coin-carrying candle holder reminds me of the jars of pennies my beloved late father would amass… and have my oh-too-excited nieces count, roll up and cash in.

And the “great day” coaster is one of many gifts from beloved friends sprinkled around my home to remind me of the beautiful connections I’ve made, nourished and maintained… for decades.

Chances are, you also have a place where your most valued treasures are held. And if you do, you could’ve probably guessed why I chose this image.

But, if you can’t immediately think of the place you store your keepsakes, spend a little time with us at the Academy.

You’ll begin to recognize that even without the trinkets, the evidence of your life’s joy is ever-imprinted in your soul. It’s rarely the things we cherish, but the people we care about and the places we’ve been, which the trinkets remind us of, igniting joy in our soul’s memory.

As we traverse along our own unique, soulfully-driven paths, may we amass connections that last and experiences to cherish. And may we never stop collecting.

Here’s to being on the journey of the soul, for the long haul.
